Arita-yaki is a traditional Japanese porcelain produced in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture (north-western Kyushu in Japan), and has been passed down since the 1600s. Saga prefecture is known as the first place to produce Tojiki (Japanese traditional pottery) in Japan.

ARITA-YAKI also called as IMARI-YAKI (伊万里焼), because it was shipped from the port of Imari in the early days.

Arita-yaki ist ein traditionelles japanisches Porzellan, das in der Stadt Arita, Präfektur Saga (nordwestliches Kyushu in Japan) hergestellt wird und seit 1600 überliefert ist. Die Präfektur Saga ist bekannt als der erste Ort, an dem "Toujiki" (traditionelle japanische Töpferware) in Japan hergestellt wurde.

ARITA-YAKI wird auch als IMARI-YAKI (伊万里焼) bezeichnet, weil es in den frühen Tagen vom Hafen von Imari verschifft wurde.

"Eto 干支" or "Junishi 十二支" means Zodiac in Japanese.
The Zodiac based on a 12-year lunar cycle, and each year is represented by character of a different sign of an animal. People born in a certain animal year are believed to have a set of attributes of that particular animal. These signs are the result of zoning time and direction into twelve blocks, each block being given a name of an animal based on the ancient Chinese concept that all time shifts based on these twelve units.

"Eto 干支" oder "Junishi 十二支" bedeutet Tierkreis auf Japanisch.

Der Tierkreis basiert auf einem 12-jährigen Mondzyklus, und jedes Jahr wird durch das Zeichen eines Tieres repräsentiert. Von Menschen, die in einem bestimmten Tierjahr geboren sind, wird angenommen, dass sie eine Reihe von Eigenschaften dieses bestimmten Tieres haben. Diese Zeichen sind das Ergebnis der Einteilung von Zeit und Richtung in zwölf Blöcke.
