"Matsu ni Tsuru" (松に鶴) 

“Kano-style”, famous traditional Japanese painting styles. Both auspicious motifs crane and pine tree are fully popular design in Japan, to celebrate longevity.

This beautiful small two-panel folding screen is depicted elegant red-crowned cranes and an evergreen pine tree as symbols of luck and longevity in the style of the Kano School. 

 

The brilliant colors, strong ink outlines, and golden background are typical of the decorative style established by Kano Motonobu (1476-1559), founder of the Kano School.

Dieser schöne kleine zwei-Panel Paravent ist im Stil der Kano-Schule gehalten und zeigt den anmutigen Rotkronen-Kranichen und ewige grünen Kiefer, ein Symbol für Langlebigkeit dargestellt.
