An elegant floral pattern that continues from the beautiful sheen of the bamboo-ribbed surface to the silk surface of the fan.

 

A Sensu-fan with a narrow fabric surface attached to a long bamboo rib requires high quality bamboo of the same grade. This type is called "TANCHI" (短地) and is relatively expensive and considered a high quality hand fan.
