This kokeshi doll features a beautifully graceful standing, defined by a slender body and softly flowing curves. Her gently tilted head enhances her tender, affectionate expression, giving the figure a calm and elegant presence.
The kimono is adorned with cherry blossom motifs set against a delicate gradient of purple and blue. Gold accents along the sleeves and hem represent the moon, evoking a poetic scene of cherry blossoms dancing beneath a moonlit sky.
Approximately 20 cm in height, with a diameter of about 5,5 cm and a slim waist measuring around 4 cm at its narrowest point, this kokeshi exudes a refined and feminine charm.

Diese Kokeshi besticht durch ihre anmutige, schlanke Silhouette mit sanft geschwungenen Linien, die eine elegante stehende Haltung formen. Der leicht geneigte Kopf unterstreicht ihren liebevollen, Gesichtsausdruck und verleiht der Figur eine besondere Sanftheit.
Der Kimono zeigt einen zarten Farbverlauf von Violett zu Blau und ist mit Kirschblütenmotiven verziert. Goldene Akzente an den Ärmelabschlüssen und am Saum symbolisieren den Mond und stellen eine Szene dar, in der Kirschblüten im Mondlicht tanzen.
Mit einer Höhe von ca. 20 cm, einem Durchmesser von ca. 5,5 cm und einer schmalsten Taille von etwa 4 cm strahlt diese Kokeshi eine feminine, feine Eleganz aus.

USABURŌ (岡本卯三郎 - Usaburo I), Usaburo brand
Usaburo I, the founder of Usaburo kokeshi, was born in 1917 in Shinto, Gunma Prefecture, and started kokeshi manufacture in 1950.
Winner of many prizes, including the Prize of the Minister of International Trade and industry. Died in Jul 2009 at the age of 91.
His particular processing technique has redefined the design of traditional kokeshi.
Usaburo also studied the possibiulity of using keyaki and chestnut, trees having beautiful grains, in addition to table dogwood, a commonly used material. Today, Usaburo Kokeshi can boast 6 award-winning craftsmen, as well as 25 collaborating craftsmen employed in the production of kokeshi dolls.
