🔸Rice bowl "Oribe, Sabi-e" [set of 2]

A pair of rice bowls with glossy green Oribe glaze and traditional geometric patterns from Kyo-/Kiyomizu ware. Handcrafted by Eiichi Tsuzuki, the Touka studio in Kyoto.
The exquisite created curves on the surface make the rice bowl comfortable to hold and give it a unique appearance. The patterns are drawn using the "Sabi-e (錆絵 rust painting)" technique, which is also known as "Tetsu-e (鉄絵 iron painting)" because it uses pigments with rich iron oxide. Depending on the thickness of the glaze and the iron oxide content, the coloring varies and results in a brown to dark brown hue (oxidation firing).
Ein Paar Reisschalen mit glänzender grüner Oribe-Glasur und traditionellen geometrischen Mustern aus Kyo-/Kiyomizu-Ware. Handgefertigt vom Eiichi Tsuzuki, führt das Studio Touka in Kyoto.
Die exquisite geschnitzten Rundungen auf der Oberfläche machen die Reisschale angenehm zu halten, und was ihr eine einzigartiges Erscheinung verleiht. Die Muster werden mit der "Sabi-e (錆絵 Rostmalerei)"-Technik gezeichnet, die auch als "Tetsu-e (鉄絵 Eisenmalerei)" bekannt ist, weil sie Pigmente mit reichem Eisenoxid verwendet. Je nach Glasurdicke und Eisenoxidgehalt variiert die Farbgebung und ergibt einen braunen bis dunkelbraunen Farbton (Oxidationsbrand).
