An exquisite Kutani porcelain incense burner (kouro 香炉) created by Kuktani artist Mansaku (万作). The cherry blossom petals drawn gently float on a pale coloured surface and evoke the exuberance of the coming of spring.

In this work, the artist skillfully handles with fantastic bright hues of colour combination and beautifully expressed the shadows and depth of the flowers and leaves. The work possesses a dignity which entitles it to speak of the beauty of kutani porzellan.

Ein exquisiter Räuchergefäß (kouro 香炉) aus Kutani-Porzellan vom Kuktani-Künstler Mansaku (万作). Die sanft gezeichneten Blumenblätter schweben auf einer hellenfarbenen Oberfläche und erinnern an die Überschwänglichkeit des bevorstehenden Frühlings.

In dieser Stück geht der Künstler gekonnt mit fantastisch leuchtenden Farbtönen um und bringt die Schatten und die Tiefe der Blüten und Blätter wunderschön zum Ausdruck. Das Werk besitzt eine Würde, die es berechtigt, von der Schönheit von Kutani-Porzellan zu sprechen.
